Modeling Info
I am looking for people of all body-types, ages, sexes, and ethnicities to pose for figure drawing and possibly sculpture. No modeling experience necessary. Please do not assume for any reason that you wouldn't qualify, especially not because you are too fat, thin, short, tall, fit, flabby, old, young, white, black, tattooed, scarred, beautiful, ugly, etc, whatever. In fact, the very quality you are concerned about is likely what makes you unique, and therefore an interesting subject. The only disqualifying quality would be if you are under 18 years of age, the reason being that I don't want to deal with the legal responsibilities of employing a minor.

Type of project:
Non-commercial, art for art's sake. Figure-drawing and sculpture.
My only goal is to improve my skills through practice with live subjects. I feel that I can't improve much more by working from photographs alone.

Intended use:
I have no plans to sell the results of our work.
However, I do plan to publish our work on this blog, as well as display it in my home and at any shows or galleries I have the opportunity to participate in. While I do not plan to sell, or even market our work, if I am approach by a buyer I will consider all legitimate offers.

Rights:
I will retain the original, but am willing to share all other rights.
As long as you give me credit as the artist, you may reproduce our work in any medium and then publish, distribute, or even sell the reproductions as you wish. If so, just request a copy of the work and I will be happy to provide it. At the most basic level, I can just take a good photo of the work. Beyond that, I have the ability to professionally scan the artwork and provide a high-resolution digital copy suitable for reproduction (after clean-up of course).

Compensation:
I’ve been paying nude models $25/hr, clothed $15/hr. If this is not adequate, please make a counter offer.
Don't be shy when negotiating. Let me know your situation and what you are willing to work for. In particular, prior experience as an artist's model, or unusual physical characteristics both lend themselves to the possibility of higher rates.

Weekends and/or Evenings. 2 - 5 hour sessions.
I prefer weekend sessions, but I do schedule for weeknights as well. Be open about your scheduling concerns, and I'll do my best to accommodate them. Weekend sessions are typically scheduled on Sundays from 1:00pm to 6:00pm, while evening session are scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. While I can complete a piece in 2 hours if pressed, usually the 5 hour weekend sessions yield better results. I am not yet to the point where I can count on my talent to be ready on command. On occasion, I have completed beautiful works in less than one hour, yet on other occasions I struggle all afternoon to produce anything I am willing to claim as mine.

I practice my art from my home.
If this it an unacceptable location, I may be willing to travel. Again, please be open about any concerns you may have. I live in a friendly, safe neighborhood in the heart of Shreveport, Louisiana. I normally provide my full address and contact info up front to prospective models, but I do not really want to publish that here for all the internet. Contact me if you are interested in modeling, and I'll be happy provide it then. If we agree to work together, I'll provide you with directions and a map of course.

My wife, and your escort, if you require one.
If you do plan to bring an escort to our session, please inform me before hand. Do not surprise me with tag-alongs, and note that I will not allow any one threatening into my home. This means no large, creepy thug body guards :-) Again, please be open about your concerns and I'll do my best to accommodate them.

Wardrobe:
For anatomy purposes, I prefer to work with a nude, but this is negotiable.
Nudity is not required, and I have a separate rate for clothed models that is fair to us both (see above). My model's comfort level is very important to me, so please discuss your concerns with me beforehand. If you have never modeled in the nude, but are considering it, you may want to try a few clothed sessions first to build up your comfort level and familiarity with the whole process.

Hair / Makeup:
Please do your own beforehand.
I enjoy trying to capture each model's individual style in my work, so do your makeup and hair however you like. I am not picky. One note though, please arrive ready to work. I understand the need for a few touch-ups, but I do not like to pay a model to put on makeup for a half hour or more. I of course have no problem with you arriving early, off the clock, if you prefer to finish preparing on location. Just let me know when to expect you.
